Christmas time

Its that time of year, where families get together and forget all their troubles and just have a good time, in the norther hemisphere its to get everyone they love and care about in one place in the mid of a miserable frosty winter.

So it should be like that, but that tradition seems to have wandered off and doesn't know when to return at the same time of year, this year i feel like Christmas has just skipped this year and doesn't plan to return anytime soon.

  1. I think I feel a bit the same. The last few Christmases, for me, have just not been of the same warm, fuzzy, special (even happy) quality that Christmas used to be all about. Partly to do with the fact I'm not a little kid any more, excited about Santa etc, but the rest is down to family changes and whatnot. I mean, last Christmas, I didn't have a bad day, I had a nice lunch and spent some time with my family (or what's left of it), but it was just another day really... So I too don't see the same quality returning to Christmas day, not any time soon, possibly not ever. But then again, maybe things will change again in a few years, we'll all be moved out and we'll appreciate our families a little more and we'll appreciate getting together for Christmas? Otherwise maybe we need to make Christmas more about us friends? Spending time together, just putting a smile on each other's faces, that's a good gift. Well only time will tell. But one can be optimistic :)
